Biography of Aurelia Baca

Aurelia_Baca_2018.jpgAurelia Baca serves as Climate Specialist with the Eastern Threat Center-hosted USDA Southeast Regional Climate Hub (SERCH). She has always been passionate about weather, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She also  completed a Master's degree in Climate Change and Society at North Carolina State University. In her SERCH role, she researches how climate variability impacts the agriculture and forestry sectors across the southeastern United States. Aurelia is working on a hurricane adaptation paper for forest land managers and farmers to help them to prepare for future impacts.
