Biography of Zihao Bian
Zihao Bian joined EFETAC in 2022 as an ORISE (Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education) Postdoctoral Research Fellow. His research interests include biogeochemical and hydrological cycles, water quality, ecosystem modeling, and global change. Zihao’s research with EFETAC investigates impacts of extreme weather (including hurricanes) on carbon and nutrient pools and fluxes, and the benefits of forests for water quality. Zihao holds a PhD in Earth System Science from Auburn University, an MS in physical geography from Nanjing University, and a BS from Changan University. His previous research includes evaluating nutrient dynamics across terrestrial-aquatic ecosystems based on ecosystem modeling.
