National Science Teachers Association Symposium
The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) partnered with Sally Ride Science, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Forest Service to present an exciting symposium for middle school and high school level educators on the topic of global climate change.
The Earth Then, Earth Now: Our Changing Climate symposium promised to advance science teachers' understanding of the Earth's global climate systems; provide resources for teaching students about climate change; and help teachers fire up students' enthusiasm for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Steve McNulty, research ecologist and team leader of EFETAC's Southern Global Change Program, spoke about presenting climate change in the classroom at the symposium on Thursday, March 19, 2009 in New Orleans, LA.
