NASA Report Highlights Benefits of ForWarn Monitoring Tool
A spinoff, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is "a technology, originally developed to meet NASA mission needs, that has been transferred to the public and now provides benefits for the Nation and world as a commercial product or service." The satellite-based ForWarn forest monitoring tool is one such spinoff, and is featured in NASA's most recent Spinoff report.
