Threat Center holds its first post-pandemic all-scientist meeting
The Eastern Threat Center recently came together for two days in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina to share our varied Center and Climate Hub activities, and to foster new collaborations and research directions. The meeting was the first time since the COVID19 pandemic that all Center scientists had come together in person. The event proved especially valuable in fostering community for staff and research Fellows who began their work with the Center during the pandemic. A key goal was to discuss how ongoing and planned Threat Center science, tools, partnerships, and science communication can meet the goals and mission that the Center's newly updated Research Work Unit Description lays out for the next five years. Productive and enjoyable conversations were had during the meeting and over several excellent group meals!
