Web-Based Climate Change Tools Serve as National Resource
Climate Change Resource Center provides resources for eastern and western land managers

CCRClogo.jpgClimate change science is rapidly evolving as data are collected and analyzed and as changing climate contributes to ecosystem changes throughout the United States.  Although a wealth of online information is available concerning climate change, it can be difficult to determine which sources are current and scientifically sound. The Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center is collaborating to expand the Climate Change Resource Center (CCRC), a web-based tool that provides eastern and western land managers an online portal to credible, science-based, and relevant information and tools concerning climate change and ecosystem management options. The CCRC draws together the best scientific knowledge and expertise to present a coherent picture of how different climate change scenarios affect land management planning and practices. The website continually updates and highlights existing resources that are scientifically credible, peer-reviewed and relevant to managers, with regularly updated content.

Partners and Collaborators: All Forest Service Research Stations, Western Wildland Environmental Threat Assessment Center, International Institute of Tropical Forestry
