Climate Hubs Tool Shed: Connecting Users to Decision Support Tools
Scientists and staff from the Eastern Threat Center and USDA Southeast Regional Climate Hub provided leadership in initiating and developing the Climate Hubs Tool Shed—the first national-level product produced by the USDA Regional Climate Hubs. The Tool Shed is an online, searchable database of tools (data-driven, interactive websites, and mobile apps) that can assist land managers, land owners, and extension professionals in adapting working lands to changing conditions. Many of the tools were developed specifically to address climate change concerns; others were developed to aid in mitigating impacts of drought, pests, wildfire, and extreme weather and are also excellent resources for managing the effects of climate change on forested and farm land. The Tool Shed currently features approximately 150 tools, and is constantly growing as new tools are developed and released.
